Christina Banh, OD

Christina Banh, OD, is a Phoenix optometrist at Desert Vista Eye Specialists. Dr. Banh was born in Chicago Illinois and was raised in San Antonio, Texas. As a child, she had a history of different eye conditions which led to her being under the close monitoring of her optometrist. Through this personal experience, she was inspired by the importance of ocular health and compassionate care. This led her onto the path of becoming a doctor of optometry.

Christina attended the University of the Incarnate Word and earned her degree in Vision Science. She went on to attend the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry (RSO), where she consistently made the Dean's List and graduated in the top ten of her class. As a student, she showcased her multifaceted skills and passion for optometry through working as a research intern for multiple studies and serving as a tutor for numerous, advanced subjects. During her clinic rotations, Christina immersed herself in diverse clinical training experiences and developed an interest and passion for ocular disease.

Motivated to grow her knowledge, she served as chief resident during her residency with M&M Eye Institute in Prescott, AZ. In this setting, she specialized in ocular disease and ocular manifestations of systemic disease. Through this residency, she gained insightful experience and honed her skills through the diagnosis and management of unique and complex cases in a high-volume environment. During her time in residency, she managed primary care, ocular emergencies, and general ocular disease, with a focus on retinal and corneal conditions under the mentorship of exceptional  specialists. Dr. Banh's unwavering dedication to the field of optometry, coupled with her extensive education and diverse clinical experiences, makes her a valuable medical optometrist to the Desert Vista community in Phoenix, Arizona. Her patients benefit from her expertise, compassion, and commitment to providing exceptional eye care services.

When not in clinic, she enjoys hiking or going on outdoor adventures and spending time with her family. Additionally she loves to explore artistic venues, museums, and listen to live music.
