
Kimberly Cunningham, O.D., F.A.A.O., is an optometrist at Desert Vista Eye Specialists, serving patients in Mesa, AZ. Dr. Cunningham specializes in primary eye care and ocular disease, such as diabetes, uveitis, and glaucoma.
Dr. Cunningham graduated with a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with her optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry.
Dr. Cunningham then completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Northern Navajo Medical Center on the Navajo Reservation. She continued to work in Indian Health Services, serving as Chief of the Hopi Health Care Center Eye Clinic. Then, she spent more than a decade working at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. Dr. Cunningham is very well versed in advanced ocular disease, especially diabetic eye care. Dr. Cunningham loves spending her time with her husband and son. When she isn’t exploring Arizona with them, she is an avid reader and loves the Needle Arts, including knitting, crochet, and embroidery
