Now Offering LASIK
Tracy Lukasiewicz, OD, has been fascinated by eyes since she received her first pair of glasses at age 5. Being from a military family, Dr. Tracy moved many times and has lived in 10 states through her life. Her clinical experience in optometry started as a technician and soon expanded to insurance and lab work. This well-rounded history helped her understand the importance of all aspects of vision care prior to pursuing her doctorate.
She earned her Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Iowa in Iowa City (2015) followed by her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University in Oregon (2020). During her fourth year of schooling, Dr. Tracy interned at Nationwide Vision Medical center in Mesa which ultimately led her to return to Phoenix. Prior to returning, she completed residency training in low vision and ocular disease at the Lebanon VA in Pennsylvania (2021). Working with the blind veteran population greatly improved her knowledge and care of complex eye diseases. She is very passionate about providing veteran's service because of her father's own service in the United States Army and was grateful for her experience with the VA hospital.
In 2021 she returned to Phoenix to work for the Nationwide Medical Center. This office has now merged with ophthalmology and re-opened as Desert Vista Eye Specialists in 2023 to offer more extensive patient care. She has happily joined the team and specializes in managing eye emergencies, disease, dry eye, and specialty contacts.
